DGPR Conducted a Training on Gender mainstreaming in Politics and Environment

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda is pleased to inform members of the media and the general public that it successfully conducted a training on Gender Mainstreaming in politics and environment for the members of the political bureau on 14th March 2015 at Hotel Labana, Kigali.
The trainings focused on the following themes:
- Gender and the role of women in decision making towards economic development, by DGPR’s Commissioner Planning, Research and Development, Ms.Aline Tumusifu
- Role of Women and Girls in Environmental Protection by DGPR’s Second Vice President, Mr.Leonard Gashugi
- Role of Women and Girls in Public Administration by DGPR’s Publicity Secretary, Mr.Jean Deogratius Tuyishime
A press conference, was held after the training and members of the media got a lot of answers on several issues affecting the party and the country.
We recognise the support received from the National Consultative Forum of Political Organisations in Rwanda without, whose support, this training would not have been possible.
