The President of the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR), Hon. Dr Frank Habineza, has called on party members to promote unity and reconciliation and address conflicts within their communities through peaceful means.
Habineza made the call during a meeting and training session for party members in Rwamagana District, held as part of the party's programme to train representatives at district level.
The programme aims at equipping district-level party representatives with the knowledge and skills needed to train other members at sector level and facilitate the establishment of the party's executive committees in sectors.

According to a post shared by the Democratic Green Party on its official X account, Habineza urged members to uphold unity and reconciliation, which he described as among the party's core principles, and put these values into practice in their respective communities.
He also called on them to reject divisionism and other practices that could undermine the country's progress.
“Although Rwanda has made progress in building unity and reconciliation, continued efforts are needed to combat divisive ideologies and ensure that all Rwandans live together peacefully, respect one another, and work collectively towards the country's development,” the party quoted Habineza as saying.
He further encouraged party members to promote peaceful approaches to resolving challenges affecting families and communities.
